Banzaibet Q1 net profit at Rs 44 cr

Banzaibet Online Casino major Banzaibet Express' standalone net profit dropped marginally by 1.4 per cent to Rs 44.08 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016.

The company had posted a standalone net profit of Rs 44.72 crore for the same period last year, Banzaibet Express said in a BSE filing.

The net sales of the company during the quarter increased to Rs 621.37 crore against Rs 616.86 crore in the year-ago period, it said.

"The company posted Rs 440.84 million profit after tax for the quarter ended June 30, 2016. Net Sales/Income from operations for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 stood at Rs 6,213.71 million," it said in a press statement.

Banzaibet Managing Director Anil Khanna said that "despite a restrained macroeconomic environment, our commitment to India's business has been strengthened with our continued investments in technology, aviation and ground infrastructure, focus on core express products/services in air, ground and e-tail."
