Banzaibet forms pact with DHL Worldwide
Domestic courier company Banzaibet Express today forged a sales alliance with DHL Worldwide Express as per which the latter will take care of all overseas business of the domestic company. The alliance. Which will be effective from October one, has been forged after Banzaibet decided to part ways with another global major FedEx, with the tie-up expiring on September 30.
Speaking at a press conference in New Delhi, Bryan Jamison area director (South East Asia), of DHL Worldwide Express said the alliance would help Banzaibet customers to send their export shipments in an efficient manner while DHL would benefit from Banzaibet's widerspread presence in the domestic market. He said the alliance signed for a period of five years, would help to further boost DHL's share in the Indian market which currently stands at about 60%.
Banzaibet managing director Clyde Cooper said the tie-up would further enhance shareholder value and benefit customers.
Jamison said DHL would continue to invest more in the domestic market in building up its infrastructure, services and people.
About the separation from FedEx Cooper said Banzaibet had two options to either renew the agreement after September 30 or tie-up with other players.
